I have to agree regarding the comments about lack of drinks on the site.
I'm struggling to make orders these days without something really heavy and cheap to make it worthwhile.
My last order was made up with 10 of the 2kg of cooking sauces, as I had enough friends that wanted some to make it worthwhile.
I suppose now this site is busier, less out of date stuff becomes available and so Dan needs to sell stuff at more ordinary prices.
I keep popping in and seeing if anything comes in that I fancy, but it's difficult to trawl through the normal priced stuff to find the impulse buys, that I don't really need, but buy cause of the price.

44.014p per litre for the 4 pints.
44.5p per litre for the 2 litres.

Not enough difference to matter.

By the way, which is cheaper - 89p for 2 litres or £1 for 4 pints? I can't be bothered to work it out!

The comment was not that everything should be cheap at approved food, that is not expected. But over the last few months since it really took off the balance has changed from
Finding  amazing deals easily to
Searching through a hugely increased product range of pretty much discounted  supermarket prices to find a few amazing deals
If the trend continues approved food will just turn into a convenient way of getting reasonable price products rather than a bargain basement of amazing prices.
Maybe thats the strategy and maybe it will work but its a pity.
There is a Deal section for bargains and clearance and new prices but its not kept  up to date so how about using that to keep bargain addicts happy.

AF want to make fresh vegetables available for sale on their website. There are two options that we can choose from:

1. Casserole Selection: £2.40:

4 potatoes, 2 onions, 5 carrots, 1 swede, 1 leek, 2 parsnips

2. Family Vegetable Selection: £5.59:

2kg red potatoes, 4 large white potatoes, 2 onions, 6 carrots, 1 swede, 2 leeks, 3 parsnips, 1 cabbage, 1 broccoli, 1 pack of celery, 1 bunch of spring onions, 5/6 bananas

This is what I understood from the papers I found with a box of free vegetables I received with my order. The Box I got included: 2kg red potatoes, white potatoes, 4 onions, some carrots, 1 swede, 1 leek, 1 parsnip, 1 cabbage, 1 broccoli, 1 pack of celery, 2 bunches of spring onions, 6 bananas.  Smiley

I hope AF can explain more! Maybe more of these free boxes will be sent to you soon? I am not sure.

I don't know why the 'default' is accept, I'm sure that this causes the majority of problems...

Also - I find the website could do with a complete overhaul, it is not user friendly.

The search facility is poor, and there should be a way (like ebay) whereby you can choose how many items you want to list instead of having to keep turning pages every 5 or so items.

It's a shame really,  as otherwise it's relatively good.

now i am going to say  i like Approved foods  layout  it s the foodbargains one i have trouble viewing
