I've just received my order with a box of free vegetables: carrots, onions, potatoes, cabbage, etc..

They were in a very good condition; the only problem I found was with the spring onions which do not last long even when I buy them fresh and use them the same day.. but this was the only problem.. the rest are great.

As for the prices, I would be very interested in the family vegetable selection, but I guess selling it for £5 would be more encouraging.. still, I would definitely pay £5.59 (it's just that £5) looks nicer.

Personally, I would not be interested in the casserole selection.

By the way, I have an ALDI store near by, and I have to say that vegetables there are really cheap, but I would still be willing to buy vegetables from you.

Many thanks, AF! This was a very nice surprise.

AF want to make fresh vegetables available for sale on their website. There are two options that we can choose from:

1. Casserole Selection: £2.40:

4 potatoes, 2 onions, 5 carrots, 1 swede, 1 leek, 2 parsnips

2. Family Vegetable Selection: £5.59:

2kg red potatoes, 4 large white potatoes, 2 onions, 6 carrots, 1 swede, 2 leeks, 3 parsnips, 1 cabbage, 1 broccoli, 1 pack of celery, 1 bunch of spring onions, 5/6 bananas

This is what I understood from the papers I found with a box of free vegetables I received with my order. The Box I got included: 2kg red potatoes, white potatoes, 4 onions, some carrots, 1 swede, 1 leek, 1 parsnip, 1 cabbage, 1 broccoli, 1 pack of celery, 2 bunches of spring onions, 6 bananas.  Smiley

I hope AF can explain more! Maybe more of these free boxes will be sent to you soon? I am not sure.

Can  someone please tell me where on the site i can find these mythical veg boxes. I've looked EVERYWHERE and I simply acn not find them

I would order a lot more regularly from AF if this was ALWAYS in stock as often I find that I can not justify the carriage cost for the one or two items I want so I end up not ordering at all.

But if I could just bang in one or two veg boxes to bulk up the order then problem solved.

The thing is if this is going to be really useful then it needs to be ALWAYS available - like a regular order filler.

Come on Dan/Julian/Chris/ whoever - great idea.

The veg boxes were a trial run and we hope to make them available in the not-too-distant future.
